The Public School Plot to Revolutionize Your Kids

One of the most powerful influences on our children is their teachers.

An educator, with their access to kids and control over what they learn, has a unique ability to shape the future. And this week has revealed some terrifying insights into how public school teachers view their power.

Cecily Myart-Cruz is the President of the United Teachers Los Angeles, a powerful union with a strong grip on California’s public school system. Myart-Cruz was interviewed by Los Angeles Magazine this week, and the resulting profile was jam-packed with nonsense and terrifying rants.

For starters, take this bit on learning loss during lockdowns:

“There is no such thing as learning loss. Our kids didn’t lose anything. It’s OK that our babies may not have learned all their times tables. They learned resilience. They learned survival. They learned critical-thinking skills. They know the difference between a riot and a protest. They know the words insurrection and coup.”

Are you hearing this? It’s ok if your kids can’t do math. All they need to know about is riots and protests and insurrections.

This is shocking to hear, but not really that surprising. You see, a lot of teachers would rather turn their pupils into left-wing revolutionaries than teach them boring old reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Don’t take it from me. Take it from the California public school teacher, who told an undercover Project Veritas reporter that he views the school year as “180 days to turn students into revolutionaries” in newly released footage.

You can watch the full video by clicking here:

In this clip, we hear Sacramento teacher Gabriel Gipe brag to an undercover reporter on how he encourages students to attend left-wing rallies for extra credit:

“I post a calendar [of Antifa events] every week. And so like I do it for extra credit. So, [students] get points for doing it. Like and so, that encourages them to do it. And I’ve had students show up for protests, community events, tabling, food distribution. All sorts of things…When they go, they take pictures, they write up a reflection, that’s their extra credit.”

The Antifa flag hanging in his classroom, and accosting students who question it:

“Like, I have an Antifa flag on my wall. And a student complained about that, and he said it made him feel uncomfortable … Well, this is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable. I don’t really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn’t be aligning with the values that this is antithetical to.”

And his influence over the political beliefs of his students:

“So, [the students] take an ideology quiz in their unit four and I put their face, they have to give me a picture of themselves, and I put it on the wall, where they are. Every year, they get further and further left…There is a reason why Generation Z, these kids, are becoming further and further left. “

The craziest part? He’s absolutely right.

There’s a reason young people are moving to the left as time goes on. That reason is our education system. Take it from that teachers’ union boss Myart-Cruz’s own words: “Education is political.”

What we teach our kids, and the people teaching them, are massively influential. Not just over each child’s future, but the future of our country and the world. And right now, the public school system is failing miserably to deliver sound and fact-based education to our children.

This is partially due to government bloat and corruption, but also the idealogues and extremists who understand the power of education.

The worst part? Teachers’ unions have a stronghold over personnel decisions in most public schools. They prevent bad teachers like the one in this Project Veritas video from getting fired. They shield bad actors from accountability to the parents signing their paychecks and entrusting their children.

As a parent, it’s easy to feel stuck and even hopeless reading stories like these. Things are bleak, and we want better for our children… but it’s not always clear just how to fix this mess.

If you’re feeling that way, my initial advice would be to start at home.

Your family’s reading time, car talks, and kitchen-table conversations are each powerful opportunities to teach your kids the things they won’t hear from the mainstream culture.

This is why our team offers books for all ages, a free podcast, and even dinner conversation prompts. These tools will help you start conversations about personal responsibility, free markets, and individual rights (among many more important topics) with your children.

Those conversations are the first step to fight the insanity being pushed on our kids.

The world is crazy, but there’s no need to give up hope. We’re here to help empower your family as you teach your young ones the important stuff… and maybe even have some fun in the process.

Until next time…
