They say “indoctrination” like it’s a bad thing…

Have you ever noticed how critics love to throw the word “indoctrination” around when it comes to parenting your kids in a way that isn’t in line with the mainstream?

According to them, if we dare to teach our kids about freedom, entrepreneurship, or even how to spot bias in the world around them, it’s somehow indoctrination. Of course when institutions like public schools or government organizations teach kids a very specific, agenda-driven set of beliefs, it’s called “education.”

Here’s a great example: The American Psychological Association has a new kids book out.

True or False? The Science of Perception, Misinformation, and Disinformation is marketed as a tool to help kids recognize so-called misinformation and learn how to critically analyze the world.

Sounds like a great idea, right? I mean, I’m all for teaching kids how to think critically!

But of course, that’s not what this book actually aims to do. Its real goal is to teach kids to toe a very specific, government curated and approved, line of thinking.

Here’s their take on the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is pretty much just par for the course.

What these groups like to call “education” is actually nothing more than teaching kids to think the way they want them to think.

It’s fine for the APA to release a book lying to kids about how to navigate “disinformation,” while pushing a very specific narrative, but if you or I want to teach our kids the same skills using resources like the Tuttle Twins, it gets labeled “indoctrination” and must be treated as a dangerous “threat to democracy.”

Whatever that means.

I’ve long argued that I don’t actually believe it’s possible for parents to “indoctrinate” their kids. It’s literally just called parenting.

Helping our children understand the world, teaching them values, and giving them the tools to think for themselves is simply the job of parents.

The truth is that if you aren’t teaching your children how to think about the world, someone else definitely is. And they get big-mad when you get in their way.

We see it everywhere.

From schools to media to new books like the APA’s, the world is trying to shape the way our kids see things. So the real question is: Do you want to be the one guiding your child’s thinking, or are you content to let someone else—who likely doesn’t share your values—do it for you?

That’s why we created the Tuttle Twins books.

They’re a resource for parents who want their kids to learn critical thinking skills, understand the value of freedom, and have the intellectual tools to question the narratives they’re fed.

Our books aren’t made to teach kids to blindly follow—they’re written in a way that empowers them to think for themselves.

With the Tuttle Twins, you’re giving your kids a defense against a world that increasingly wants to control how they think.

So if you’re tired of the double standards and want to equip them with the skills to navigate the world on their own terms, check out our full lineup of Tuttle Twins resources.

They’re designed to spark curiosity, foster independence, and help your kids develop a healthy skepticism for the narratives pushed by those in power.

From books, to curriculum, to dinner conversation starters and even our very own TV show, we have everything your family needs to fight the mainstream narratives that are pressing on our kids from every direction.

Speaking of…

This is the last day to snag our Season Two Graphic Novel Box Set + free DVD!

It’s based on our wildly popular Tuttle Twins TV show, and is a super fun way for kids to take the animated adventures they love anywhere they go!

Snag a set today, or send one to a friend who may not have heard of us!

But hurry, because this offer ends soon!

Those who seek to control the world are tireless in their efforts to shape the minds of our kids in their own image. If we aren’t “indoctrinating” them, we can be absolutely certain that someone else is.

We’ve created great resources to help parents like you inoculate their kids against the prevailing agendas of nihilism and blind obedience to authority, while giving them the tools they need to live thriving, prosperous, peaceful lives.

Thanks for letting us help in the work you do.
