Is Biden’s “Parting Gift” WWIII?

There’s a lot of buzz around President Trump’s new cabinet picks, and I’m not gonna lie—some of his choices have me pretty stoked.

Maybe we’ll finally see an administration that’s actually willing to tackle government waste, rein in the Federal Reserve, and address America’s health crisis head-on.

Of course there are a few picks that I’m less than thrilled about, but I’m willing to see what happens.

For a man who’s been almost completely MIA for the better part of his presidency, Biden sure does pop up when it’s time to funnel millions into foreign countries or ramp up the potential for catastrophic war.

It really makes you wonder just who is calling the shots here? Because these decisions are not the careful, thoughtful actions of someone who is prioritizing the American people.

In fact, they’re downright reckless.

Approving the use of long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia is a massive escalation of US involvement in this conflict. We’re not just playing cheerleader from the sidelines anymore.

What happens when one of those strikes goes too far, hits the wrong target, or escalates the conflict into something much bigger? The scary truth is that we’re getting pulled further and further into a war that was never supposed to involve us so directly.

History warns us about this.

How many times have proxy wars spilled over into head-on engagements that cost American lives and prosperity?

Honestly, what’s most troubling is the lack of clarity about who’s actually in charge here. Is it Biden? His advisors? Lobbyists? It really isn’t clear—and that’s a huge problem when the stakes are this high.

We’re standing at the door to WWIII, and it seems that there’s a powerful, unelected, shadow government that’s calling the shots, and hellbent on kicking it in.

There are decades of bad policies and practices that have brought us here, and each generation bears blame for letting things get this bad. But I’m determined to do everything I can to make a better future.

It’s why we work so hard to teach the next generation the principles of peace, self-reliance, and critical thinking.

Without dedication to these principles, we’re destined to repeat the mistakes of the past.

I don’t want that for my kids.

A few years ago, we wrote The Tuttle Twins and the Golden Rule. It’s based on Ron Paul’s A Foreign Policy of Freedom and follows Ethan and Emily Tuttle as they go to summer camp and learn firsthand about the dangers of revenge, aggression, and blowback.

It’s the kind of lesson our kids need—especially in a world where grown-ups in power seem to have forgotten it.

And speaking of helping kids understand today’s world, today is the last day to sign up for the Tuttle Times Magazine

Each monthly issue brings fun activities, exclusive new Tuttle Twins stories, and kid-friendly takes on current events that make sometimes-complex issues easier to understand.

Subscribe to the Tuttle Times before midnight to join us in preparing the next generation to choose a better path.

As Biden (or whoever is pulling the strings) ramps up the risk of global conflict, it’s our job to raise kids who understand how dangerous these policies can be—and who are equipped to advocate for peace and freedom in their own lives now, and as the adults they’ll one day become.

I’m hopeful the work we do together now will bring us a brighter, more peaceful, and more prosperous future.
