About Michael:

Michael Parent is the founder of The Problem Solving Academy, a management consultant and Principal of Michael Parent Consulting Services and author of The Lean Innovation Cycle, a book that explores the intersection of Problem Solving, Lean and Human Centered Design.

Throughout his career, Michael has coached executives through strategic problem solving, strategy, and operations management and has led numerous projects in a variety of industries and disciplines such as Manufacturing, Insurance, Product Development, and Human Resources. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MBA from the College of William and Mary Raymond A. Mason School of Business in Williamsburg VA. Michael is a certified Lean and Six Sigma Master Black Belt and an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence.

Michael was also named a 40 under 40 “rising star” by the American Society for Quality in 2021.
