Daniel Suhr

Lawyer

Wisconsin

About Daniel:

Daniel is president of the Center for American Rights, where he spends every day on the front lines of the fight for free speech, free enterprise, and freedom in education in courts nationwide. He’s also a partner in Hughes & Suhr LLC, a Chicago law firm that uses class action litigation to advance freedom.

When he’s not arguing cases in court, he can be found writing about them on op-eds pages such as the Wall Street Journal, discussing them on shows like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, or speaking on them in places like Yale Law School.

He is a member of Christ Church Mequon, an Eagle Scout, and a fair-weather runner. He’s married to Anna and loves building legos and watching Star Wars with Will (13) and Graham (10).

Professional Experience:

  • Policy director for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker
  • Deputy student director for The Federalist Society
  • Law clerk for Judge Diane Sykes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
  • Graduate of Marquette University (B.A., J.D.), Georgetown University (LL.M.), and the University of Missouri (M.P.A.)
