The data is in. Mandates did nothing but harm

Man, sometimes being right is the worst.

After years of feeling like we’ve been screaming into the abyss, The Science™ has finally caught up to confirm what so many of us already knew:

Lockdowns, masking, social distancing, and vaccine mandates had no discernible impact on the virus. 

Color me shocked.

Government responses to COVID-19 will likely go down as some of the most impactful events of the twenty-first century. The lockdowns, school closures, and sweeping mandates left an indelible mark on our world. 

They told us they were protecting us, that the science was behind them, and that if we’d just do what they said, then we would be safe. They even had a slogan.

“If It Saves Just One Life.”

Well, the results are in from a recent study that aimed to find out just how many lives were saved by this unprecedented experiment in social engineering.

Using daily data from 16 government responses across 181 countries during 2020 and 2021, the study constructed a staggering 99,736 analytic models. The goal? To figure out if there was a clear relationship between government actions and outcomes like COVID-19 cases, infections, deaths, and all-cause excess deaths.

The results? A big nothing-burger.

Not only did the data not imply that government responses to the virus saved lives, some data suggested that responses actually caused harm. 

“Hey, sorry about your destroyed businesses, broken familial relationships, and mental health trauma. Our bad.” 

Just kidding. They won’t be apologizing.

Think about the countless small business owners who saw their life’s work vanish almost overnight. They were told to shut their doors “for the greater good,” only to find themselves without any recourse or support.

They were vilified as “anti-science,” “conspiracy theorists,” and “a danger to others” for daring to question the wisdom (or legality!) of these mandates.

Family relationships were fractured, children’s education was disrupted, and mental health crises soared. Those who spoke out were silenced, mocked, and censored. And now, with studies like this one, we see that the supposed science behind these draconian measures never existed.

It was a big experiment, and we were the guinea pigs. 

But now we know.

And what we do next is important.

We’ve seen, and many of our kids have seen, the impact of overwhelming government control and the suppression of dissenting voices. Now is the time to teach our kids about critical thinking, individual rights, and the importance of questioning authority.
